Whimsical, Funny and Stretched Imagination…
During the day, Edward Dai is a home improvement contractor, creating beautiful interiors for his customers’ homes. Ed has always enjoyed the creative process, using his free time to follow his passion to draw, paint, and install gallery shows in New York City. Growing up in Brooklyn, Ed developed a fascination with buildings. Inspired by high rise architecture as found in New York City, Ed would fill his sketch book with building exteriors. Sketching lines to the point where they weave and curl, a whimsical transformation takes place, and a free flowing design emerges. Keeping a camera handy, Ed has stumbled upon funny and interesting daily life all around him. Expanding his artistic base to include these photos, some which Ed embellishes to create new and lively images.
